Becoming a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer has long been a dream of mine. I am so blessed to be able to work at a job I am passionate about. I love watching people find joy in what their bodies are capable of with hard work and dedication.
I fell in love with fitness 22 years ago after I had my first child and suffered from Postpartum Depression and extreme Anxiety. I found out just how amazing those exercise endorphins can be to calm anxiety and uplift mood! Ever since then, I have been growing over the years adding layers to my personal fitness experience and my professional certifications.
My first foray into teaching was at a Barre Franchise and a few years later I started enjoying the empowering feeling of lifting heavier weights. I appreciate how much stronger I feel just moving through everyday being able to lift, move and twist knowing: “My body can do this!” My Chiropractic adjustments hold longer and I have increased my range of motion. My latest training is focused on Senior Fitness and Flexibility so I can share what I’ve benefitted from with you. We rarely lose what we keep practicing!
Maybe you’re considering trying something new? I’d love to walk with you by creating a personalized plan to improve your everyday life. Together we can find the form of fitness that lights up your body and spirit. I firmly believe that there is a form of exercise that fits each person’s needs and personality, you just have to keep going until you find it! Movement has always been a part of my life, but when Covid hit, I made the choice to kick it up a notch. Lack of time could no longer be an excuse (since everything was shut down), so I made the decision I would move my body. Every. Single. Day. No excuses. Before long, I saw how much exercise and wellness improved my mood, confidence, and overall outlook on life. As I learned more about the health benefits of movement in a daily routine- reduction in diabetes, obesity, and healthy aging to name a few….. I was hooked. I HAD to learn how to share that information with others.
Now, as an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, I am dedicated to helping clients take control of their life by implementing exercise and healthy habits. Let’s work together to determine your goals and how to achieve them. Just need help getting started? Want to gain strength or energy? Ready to lose a few pounds? Whatever is on your mind, we can make a plan. For more information, contact me or ask at the front desk (218) 568-5444.

One of my favorite ways to connect with people is to share a fitness experience. From skiing, to biking, to fitness in the gym, I love to get a group together and move!! My passion began in high school as a swimming instructor and has continued for the past 40 years as I have lead a wide variety of fitness classes from step, aqua, yoga, Pilates, Zumba, Silver Sneakers and much more including personal training. I consider each class or training a fitness celebration where everyone is welcome, encouraged and empowered to move in a way that honors their body and spirit.
I absolutely love what I do but last year as I came down with stage four breast cancer and was convinced my days of exercising with friends was over, let alone leading a class ever again. BUT ..... by the grace of God, I am thrilled to be back in the gym working my way back one class at a time surviving and thriving.
