Our Classes

At The Gym Pequot Lakes, we have a wide variety of classes suited for all ages, fitness levels, times of day. From high-energy cycling to calm, stress-reducing yoga, our classes are structured to promote healthy lives in and out of the gym.


We believe that the mental and emotional benefits of group classes are just as important as the physical benefits. Check out our class listings below and click on any of the buttons to see upcoming class schedules.


This total body workout for males and females uses the ballet BARRE to perform small, isometric movements, which burn fat, sculpt muscles and create long lean physiques. Cardio workout and no dance experience needed. Can be modified to all fitness levels.

Yoga / Pilates Fusion

A mix of core strengthening and total body stretching using mat Pilates exercises and Yoga poses followed by a cool down with final relaxation.

Spin Bootcamp

 Intense workout utilizing spin bikes along with free weights, Kettle Bells, TRX straps, and body weight exercises in a circuit format for overall body conditioning.

Spin Class

This spin class will be a 45 minute ride in a warm environment.  Class will often be an endurance ride mixed in with sprints, focusing on form and set to the beat of the music.

Total Tone

Need Variety? This class format shakes it up weekly so you will never be bored! Adapted to all levels, so whether you are just starting or at an advanced fitness level - you will get a challenge!

Power Pump

Get results from your exercise program! This class consists of strength training using a barbell and a variety of equipment. Learn to lift with proper alignment and form in an energized environment. Start with light weights and increase as you go, sculpting all major muscle groups.

Spin & Sculpt

Class incorporates free-weights, machines, body weight exercises along with a variety of other strength training tools to achieve overall body conditioning, strength, and toning.

Each week, the format and instructor of this total body workout class will change. The class is designed to provide a diverse range of total body conditioning and sculpting exercises that incorporate both strength and cardio movements, targeting all major muscle groups. Participants will have access to a variety of equipment suitable for both beginners and fitness enthusiasts.

Senior Fit

Seniors will work towards increasing range of motion, improving flexibility, gaining strength and increasing bone density.  All of this will be achieved through range of motion; one’s own body weight and when appropriate adding light weights.

Senior Strength & Flex

Light cardio with an emphasis on strengthening, flexibility and functional mobility.


Are you ready to party yourself into shape? That’s exactly what ZUMBA® is all about. It’s an exhilarating, effective, easy-to-follow, Latin-inspired, calorie-burning dance fitness-party. No dance experience needed.

Yoga Pose


This flowing class focuses on rhythmic movement, breath, and fun. Work on strength, balance and flexibility using classic Yoga poses and breathing techniques You will walk out of class feeling connected, clear, and calm.


Yoga Sculpt - This class welcomes all levels of Yoga. Will add hand weights and end the class with a short duration of  (HIIT) High Intensity Interval Training. Class will have muscle building and cardiovascular benefits in addition to strengthening your important stabilizer muscles. 

Bone Builder Sessions

At The Gym Pequot Lakes, we offer a Bone Builder Class that is designed to help our members build bone, reverse osteoporosis/osteopenia, and improve their overall bone health. Our class is based on research-proven methods and only needs to be attended once a week. Plus, you’ll get to work with a personalized trainer to ensure that you are getting the most out of your sessions. We invite you to join us today and take the first step towards stronger bones and improved health.

Personal Trainer

Escape from a directionless workout. With one of our certified personal trainers you will get a safe and effective program. Our trainers will meet you at your level and personalize a plan for you ensuring you of correct technique and better results. Begin with a Fitness Road Map for only $20.  

Senior Yoga

Welcome to our Senior Chair Yoga class, where we promote safety as we explore both seated and standing poses. Our goal is to increase your range of motion, flexibility, balance, and strength, all while incorporating deep breathing and relaxation techniques. This class is designed to meet a variety of fitness levels, so whether you're just starting out or looking to deepen your practice, you'll find a comfortable pace and level of challenge. By focusing on gentle movements and mindful breathing, you'll notice an improvement in your overall wellbeing, both physically and mentally. You'll leave each class feeling more relaxed, centered, and energized. Join us for an invigorating hour of Senior Chair Yoga.
